Relevance
The Reference Centres hope to contribute to the development of the Agenda 2030 and other objectives defined in the African Agenda with countries interested in reproducing and sharing their experiences in the field of data collection with digital media. In this way, the project is making its know-how available to countries interested in this initiative.
The project has great potential to strengthen the initiatives that have taken place as part of the data revolution and to advance the monitoring of the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. After all, capacity building involves the census, which is the backbone of national statistical systems and serves as the basis for several other surveys that contribute, through the inputs generated, to the development and monitoring of public policies in countries.
