At the end of the workshop, the participants were trained in the essential themes of electronic data collection during the two weeks of training. These included

1. Staff training for the census with electronic data collection ;
2. Censal mapping applied to electronic data collection ;
3. Technological infrastructure: methodology for using electronic data collection ;
4. Electronic questionnaire, monitoring and control ;
5. Raising society's awareness ;
6. Data dissemination.

The recommendations made under the four themes should enable the steering committee to continue the process of setting up the centres of reference.
